vplaunch freezes my computer when i try to exit?(solved)

I have the latest version of both vpinmame and cvplaunch. Everything loads just fine. However when i hit escape everything freezes. It will show parts of the visual pinball application and the table itself and then locks up. Anyone else have this problem? Just wanted to see if there was a special trick to get it right.

For whatever reason turning visual pinball into windows 95 compatibility did the trick!

I think there is an update to visual pinball.  I believe that is how I fixed this problem when I had it.  I think the problem was introduced with xp sp2, but not toally sure on that.
