video card resolution 1024x768 'hidden'
« on: January 18, 2005, 11:30:46 am »
I remember seeing this here somewhere but can't rmemeber where.... can anyone help? I am looking at the spec of a video card with svideo TV out - it says it outputs to TV at resolution 800 x 600 and at 1024 x 768 (hidden). What does the 'hidden' mean in this context? the spec I am looking at is for a PEAK radeon 9550 gfx card.

Thanks.

It meanless to use 1024x768 for SVHS,. because it just downscaling to your tv-input. The tv input is a bit lowere than 800x600 (can't remember wich it was).

This is why, it may have disabled the 1024x768.
