GameLauncher crashes with certain background mp3s
« on: January 16, 2005, 07:51:48 pm »
Hi everyone - I have GameLauncher running very sweetly right now in 98se, except I can only play some mp3s as background music and not others.

Just a guess, but they are probably variable bitrate mp3 files.  GL was originally a dos program, and I'm pretty sure none of the dos audio engines can handle variable bitrate mp3s that well.

The solution to your problem is simply to re-encode the mp3s.
