anyone else becideds me think the ivy league grad is a bit out of touch with real life costs?!?

from CNN
Quote
Bush called for raising the Pell Grant by $100 in each of the next five years. That would put the maximum grant at $4,550 by 2010, up 12 percent from the $4,050 offered today.

OHH! a student can buy 2 more books per year
i paid 6k out of pocket for 1 seimester back in 86 when i needed a few credits , and that was from a local community col. , and people still wonder why most other countries produce soo meny grads , their goverments acctully care!

Bush thinks School's for fools!

He's proof positive that even the most lowly, drunken, and ignorant people can someday become president. Why bother with all that book learnin' anyhow?

i couldnt belive when he was asked what to tell all the unemployed and he responded with his whole thing about getting them a education and higher jobs etc ... I'm sitting their in my living room with my jaw on the floor , at that time EVERYONE i knew that was out of work ( mostly techies ) have at least a 4yr degree and some of them still are seeking decent jobs , ya delivering pizza pays the bills , but doesnt pay the student loans allot of us are still trying to pay off , ( i myself have taken a 30% pay cut just so i can keep working ) ... clueless
