While I was in Birmingham on vacation, my fiancee and I decided to go to the Galleria (a large mall) there.  Now, I don't really care for malls all that much, but luckily for me, they had an arcade!  Yay!

Once safely in the arcade, I saw Marvel VS Capcom 2, and decided to give it a shot.  I was pretty good at X-men VS Street Fighter and decent at MVSC 1.

Let me just say, I was wrong...  this guy I was playing whupped my arse, bad.  I didn't even kill off any of his characters.  Not only that, he was able to unleash an 80-something hit combo on me.  After that, I walked away with my tail between my legs and went off to play some Monopoly pinball, lol...

Yeah, my better fighter days are behind me too. 

A younger employee at my store came by to play my MAME cab and we threw down some fighters. On ANYTHING newer than Street Fighter 2 I got schooled. 

Once we got down to the SF2 though I made that boy my beeeeee-@tch.

High level play in MVC2 is no joke! Thats the game I started on, and it can get nasty.

Things like the Magneto ROM infinite can make total newbies to the game want to scream.

If you want to see some high level play in action, it's a rather big download, but it has some MVC2 stuff on it. If it's going lighting fast and is 2-D, it's MVC2.... (it's a zipped dvd trailer from EVOlution 04, the fighting game championships)

Even if you know fireballs and the like, if you don't know OTG's, Air combos, linkers, crossups, resets, unfly and the like...

You gotta stay on top of the game.

I was playing asteroids and I can't turn it over.  It hurts my old muscles to even try. 

Plus for some reason, my reflexes don't work as fast as they used to 25 years ago.

i love MvsC2 , prolly my fav fighting game ever. Im the best out of my friends, but none of us are like super crazy MSP players or anything, most of them just casual. I went to a tourny about an hour away and i got totally owned hardcore. I definately need to get better but from watching videos and stuff its hard without actually seeing someone do it in front of you. I need a MvsC2 tutor in NJ hehe

No, he was using Cable, Magneto, and someone else.  I forget who.  Yeah, it was nasty...  lol.  And no, it was not Snaake whupping my arse, either.
