maximum arcade VS Omnicade

Hi i am now looking for a good front end for my cab as i will soon be building the pc for it. i know of Omnicade, installed it but couldnt get it to load, i went to its folder and all it had were emulators in their own folders no omnicade.exe, so i have no idea if its anygood...
i also looked at maximum arcade, seemed fairly high quality (comes at a price though  ) but couldnt get it to see my emulators, though i only played with it for a couple of minutes on my PC that will no be used, so i didnt delve to deep.
what i am wondering is if there are nay other's like these out there, and yes i want ones that load consol emus as well as just mame, so stuff like mamewah seems out of the question   
and also has anyone had much experience with any of these? and which do you reckon is better (leaving the price issue out of it)

also i just came accross 3D-arcade which looks cool, but as they say it needs a 1+ghz PC does this mean its bulkiness will affect game speeds? or is it only need the power when your in the frontend?

i also forgot to mention if the front end can launch stepmania that would be cool, because that thing is SOOOO addictive lol

In the left hand margin (about a third of the way down) is a pretty thorough list of front ends. Try them and find one you like.

only for the fe and in 3d mode. the fe does not affect mame framerates at all.
