Need some assistance with IE6

hello, just need a little assistance with IE6

say im at www.google.com

and I type in the search field the letter "a"

and below the seach field it displays

apple
arrow
arse
arsenio

How do I turn that feature off where it doesnt display my previous searches

anyhelp would be greatly appreciated

Go to into the following menus:

Tools -> Internet Options

The go to the 'Content' tab and there you will see a button labelled 'AutoComplete'.

Click on it and deselect the options you don't want AutoCompleting then OK. I think the one you want to deselect is 'Forms' and possibly 'passwords'

Yes, it can be quite embarrassing when someone else uses your computer.

Other person types in "A" and the drop down box reads.

Asian chicks naked
Anna Kornikova's boobs
ass piracy
etc, etc, etc

Or just as embarrassing if you

um.. Also has auto-complete, so it doesn't solve his problem.

maybe they should password protect the auto-complete feature to protect us from them emarrassing moments
