What about a 2nd version of that with the word ^ NOT handwritten above and between Game and Over?

ehhhh....

that "game not over" idea is like "got milk." I just think it is soooo hackneyed... worn out before it's even arrived. But that's just one man's opinion, it seems to be popular.

I agree, perhaps some Whoosh lines from teh lettering like in Superman teh movie/Star Trek....

Maybe even some more objects around the left hand side too...

I can't quite put my finger on what I'd do yet, ut at the moment  its a touch too dark.

Thats why I didn't put the not :). I think the "insert coin to continue" makes it a little diff.

If feel like somethins missing as well, but not sure what. I figure that it'll look really sharp when backlit which is why its a little dark

Thanks for all the input so far, Keep it commin

The higher the contrast in the image, the more the lights will do for it. That's one reason I always liked Atari's early 80's marquees. I'd try to brighten up the lettering. It'll be kind of like the Zaxxon marquee.

Is it possible to move the ships? It seems like they should be less obscured. Maybe if they were in an area to the left or right of the lettering, or maybe (big maybe) in between.

Like the "insert coin to continue". Maybe leave it in blue to keep it a bit more subdued. The "GAME ^not OVER" is definitely overused. That said, It's on my list of generic marquees I'm putting together.
Brevity is not my strong suit.
