Biology or chemistry?

I'm trying to settle into a single major but can't make my mind up.

Biology- I'd like to work with stem cell research, genetic research (such as genetic altering/manipulation/enhancement, or cloning. This would be nice because it'd be able to help people.

Chemistry- Well...it's science and I'm good at it. Biology is one of those sciences where it's like all memorization but chemistry you kinda gotta figure things out.

Can anyone list some pros/cons or other opinions?

Biology any time.

Modern medicine is going through a very exciting phase. I'm sure that being a medical researcher today would be very rewarding, and also well paid (if you're motivated by money).

From my experience at school, it was chemistry that involved a lot of mindless memorisation, although I think perhaps I perceived it that way simply because we had a poor teacher.

Of course biology is ultimately chemistry.

Did you start school late, or is this for a masters?  I thought you were 22.

Either one is good, but you'll need to pursue an advanced degree to make the big bucks.  If you have an interest in chemistry, another major to consider is chemical engineering.  I have a few friends with degrees in that, and they are rather well off.

EDIT:  Although, if you've been in the business school for 3 years, this would be a tough switch, as it generally requires a lot more math classes than you get in business school.
