Mamewah v1.52 Question
« on: January 01, 2005, 12:38:04 am »
Long time user of MAME, just recently found the BYOAC site. I'm very interested in doing my own project. I'm working with various frontends, emulators, etc to find out what combinations I like the best. I like Mamewah as a frontend. I know in older versions of mamewah you could use the command line switch /e? to choose which emulator mamewah would start with. That doesn't seem to be an option in version 1.52 unless I am missing something. Thanks for any help in advance.

Use /e emuname, where emuname is the name you're using for your mamewah ini files.

I've attempted that with no success, but I have found a work around. I am sure it is something I am not doing properly. I'm building a menu that launches to different programs, mamewah being one of those, was trying to specify via a command line to start specific emulators with separate buttons. Instead,I just put mamewah files into different folders (3 instances so far) and executed them from there, locking the specific emulator I want in the mamewah.ini file. It is working right now with mame, vpinball, PC Games, just kind of toying around to see what I like going to keep adding to it. Thanks for your help minwah. I'll keep pluggin away.

I just tried it and it works, in my latest WIP at least.  Here's the full commandline I used:

mamewah /e 02-fusion

(I have 02-fusion.ini etc. in the ini folder)
