Zinc control problems(solved)
« on: December 30, 2004, 02:50:44 pm »
Zinc controls are driving me crazy. I just can't get them right.

I can get them to work with zincgui, but then it only works with that frontend and I want to use mamewah.

With zincfe, i'll go to setup controls. For btn1 btn2 btn3, etc, i'll just click on them and hit a button on my control panel, setting the keys. Then I hit accept. For some games I think it might work, but i've only been testing with bloody roar 2.

I looked in zincs controller file that zincfe created and I looked at the dik codes. For comma, period and space, they were like 31,32,33(not exact) and they are suppose to be 51,52,57(info off of microsoft).

Basically i'm trying to make the controls work using either zincfe or zincgui and have them work without running one of the frontends.

Ok. Just setting up the controler in zincfe will work with most games. Games it doesn't work for are like bloody roar 2 and doa. I haven't tested them all.

I can get all games controlls to work with zincgui, but I can't run them through a command line and have them use those controlls.

I feel dumb. I just had to delete all my cfg files.

I guess I accidentely created a custom cfg file that was incorrect for some of the games that weren't working right.
