PS2 Modification
« on: December 29, 2004, 11:45:51 pm »
I want my PS2 to be able to play japanese import games. I've heard that there are mod chips and boot discs. What is the best way to do this, is it a mod chip or discs? Also can anyone recommend a chip or discs that works well? And a good website to buy them from.
Thanks

Take a look at this thread:

http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,27572.0.html - Best PS2 Modchip.

I would like to play imports on my ps2 as well.  I looked into the chips and the dsm4 seems to be the best.  However, the installation looks difficult and there is a way to play imports without modifying your ps2!  Ultimately, I decided to get HDadvance along with a hard drive in order to load the imports from the hd.  I will probably order it soon.  Look in the link above for good vendors and solutions.

What imports are you interested in?
