can u run s-video or RCA to Arcade monitor?
« on: December 25, 2004, 07:35:34 pm »
I stumbled upon a Hang Pilot machine for a $100 which has 2 huge 29" arcade monitors in it. The game circuit board is fried so I wanted to turn the cabinet into an emulator so I took off all the hang gliding equipment on the front. I have a pretty good idea how to connect a VGA device to the monitors but I was wondering if anyone knows if its possible or how to connect an S-video or RCA type connection device to these monitors so I could connect say an Xbox PS2 DC or DVD player. Thanks for any help you can give!!!

PLEASE do a search, or at least look thru the FAQ in the sticky in the main forum before asking questions that might have been answered a ton of times before.

About 5 threads down there is one titled "Finally I hooked my DC to an Arcade Monitor"

that will answer your questions.

Please do not MAME this cabinet! Please, please do not destroy a dedicated original machine. Please sell to a collector and use the profits to buy a more generic cabinet. A generic cabinet will be much better suited for MAME anyway. Thank you for your consideration.

Ive tried all means to have it repaired. I sent all the hardware to Konami. They could not repair it. No one has parts for it. Thats why I found it in a thrift shop in the first place. Do you know some way to repair this fried circuit board that I dont? the whole jamma connection is melted!
