Robotron Controls ??

I seem to remember being able to set the controls
for robotron in mame before but now cant seem
to do it.

I need this:

P1 Joystick move
P2 Joysick fire (Fire in the direction of the joystick)

If I remember correctly thats how it worked in the arcade.
When I press TAB in mame it comes up with:

P1 Left/Up
P1 Left/Down
P1 Left/Right
etc...

But nothing for fire.

This may be a mame problem but I set up the controls to work properly. When I play robotron or even try to set up the controls I have to press the directions several times before I get a response. This doesnt happen with other games. Any ideas?

What are you using to interface the controls to the pc?

That would have helped. Im using an IPAC.
