I am still coming to grips with these scores. My average game is around 170,000 and at times I have gotten more, but these times are rare.

I have played Gyrus a lot (arcades in the 80's and MAME), and I thought I was OK. These other high scores are just disturbing me. I could play for another 20 years and wouldn't be able to get 400,000, I am sure of this.

At least I still beat danny_galaga.

Check out the MAME high score though. It's only 225900 and that's pretty achievable.

Well to answer- I am not real good at it, but I have really got hooked on Gigawing recently. I also have a soft spot for Bomb Jack and Exerion.

I would challenge most at Parsec from the old TI99/4A, but this console & game would go over most peoples heads.

I like Bombjack, I used to play it a lot on the old Amstrad 6128. Never played the arcade one much, as for Giga Wing never played it I'll have to take a look at it.

I think my wife's addicted.. lol...

She's been playing the game like a madwoman and is now at 220,200!!

I can just imagine it now... "Hello, my name is Daniel and my wife's a Gyruss Junkie".....

Well if she's at 220k, and the MAME record is just under 226k, I think it's time to start recording her games lol.

Then you can alter your statement to "Hello, my name is Danielw and my wife's the Gyruss MAME champion"

WooHoo.....! This actually means that I hold the world record for MAME Gyruss. Now I can forget about competing with stupid scores like 2.5 million.

That's a pretty amazing score.

She only needs to go another couple of levels to beat me, I better start playing but I'm getting re-hooked on track and field
