Red/Green lines on SCART TV
« on: December 19, 2004, 06:28:01 pm »
Just hooked up my SCART TV to my ArcadeVGA.  Everything seems to be ok, but I get a few 'skewed' horizontal lines towards the top of the screen (red and green).  They flicker and I can't get rid of them.  It's not the AVGA or cable as the lines are still there even when not plugged in.  Just wondering if the TV is on it's way out (bought it 2nd hand!).  I even tried connecting my AVGA > SCART cable to the 2nd AV socket on the back of the TV and still the same problem.  Any ideas folks?  Also there seems to be a red 'ghosting' (sort of a 'cast') on the right hand side of objects on screen?

Thanks

Craig

Oh well, I've just double-checked and the red/green lines appear on every channel even when I am just connected to the aerial for watching TV.  In addition the colour on the set seems saturated (too much red etc).  Guess the TV is goosed.  Well I bought it from an ex-rental place with 3 months warranty so they are sending a service guy out tomorrow.  I hope it can be sorted.  If not then I guess they exchange the set..may not be a bad thing actually
