Firefox+Norton help?

Ok so just installed Firefox and yes it's as cool as everyone says but I have also uninstalled IE. Problem is now when I try to run Norton System Works one button checkup it says it won't do it unless IE is installed. Any ideas or should I just reinstall IE? God I'm really starting to dislike Microsoft products, is that wrong?
