Neo-MVS Cabinet (DC Inside) pics fixed!*
« on: December 15, 2004, 09:13:17 pm »
My cab has come some ways since the last update. If you all don't mind, I decided to create a new post since I lost the password to my old screenname. Anyways, I finally put a DC in my cab, and I am enjoying all the CPSIII games from the $25 console. It is PERFECT for a cab, so if anyone is even thinking about it it is most definetly worth it! I have mounted the DC inside on one of the sides of the cab for easy access, and I removed the top case to help it cool off and for ease of access. I have the inputs from the DC and the computer all going into the TV, and the TV output goes to a volume control knob that goes to the AMP. Smartstrip takes care of all the power from a power button right next to the volume knob. The controls are all wired to DB25 connectors, and I have to DB25 switches in the mail. I will modify the case of the switches so the knob comes out to the top of the CP and I will be able to switch between the DC controls and the comptuer without having to go inside the CP. I am waiting on some Wico 8 ways to convert to P360's to put in the cab as well, I am looking forward to try out the new joysticks. Anyways, on to the pictures!

Looks real good Fred, you guys have convinced me to definitely get a dreamcast in my cab so i can play some good DC stuff. I think you did a real good job with mounting your television and all, it looks pretty authentic.

Ill be in touch about hacking me some dreamcast pads when the time comes.

The kind words are welcome Elmo. I finished most of my 2 player CP that I am putting together using the CP overlay that I got from you. You wouldn't happen to have any more of these would you?

Thanks again, and let me know about the pads for sure.

Fred.
