back in black
« on: December 13, 2004, 08:55:42 am »
recently ACDC's 'back in black' became the second most bought album after michael jacksons 'thriller'. i realised i had never bought this quintessential album. so yesterday i did. threw it in the CD player, set up galaxians on the MAME cab and relived an earlier time when back in black and galaxians were the latest thing. i spent $2.20 (20c at a time) listening to Acca Dacca's finest. sigh...

"she told me to come, but i was already there..."

I was (am still am) a great AC/DC fan. Saw them when they came to Ottawa a few years ago. Gotta give them this, even though they're old, they still put on quite a show!
They all really rock hard. Especially Angus strutting his stuff.

I've got big balls

They're such big balls
And they're dirty big balls
And he's got big balls

AC/DC rock baby, in my teens I had every album on vinyl up to Flick of the Switch ( they kinda went to ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- a bit after that ).

I love AC/DC. I have most of their vynil too. I used to work in a Record factory in '81. (It's a body shop now).

I remember when that album came out. I was either a senior or my first year of college.

I have it on CD.  It's a must have album. It's as important as Pink Floyd, The Wall.  Or any Led Zepplin album.

I've got a crate of old records.  I don't play them anymore because I can't find a needle for my record player. I don't really want to anyway, I can't stand the static off those records either.  I'm CD spoiled. My son, who's 10, asked me what those things were. I told him old frizbees.

One of the benefits of being an old fart like me is that I still have several of the albums that I bought wayyy back in the 70's.

Hell yeah NIVO, we actually smoked one of those, was a ---smurfette--- to roll, 1/4 oz. and about 45 minutes later, damn!

Might just buy this one for old-times sake!
Never had the vinyl myself, I just looked, I have 1st album, Wedding Album, Los Cochinos and Up in Smoke.  And how about George Carlin Class Clown, Toledo Window Box, when he was still relevant and not just a hateful old fart!  Still can recite the Seven Words You Can't Say on Television, and the Hippy Dippy weatherman, funny stuff!

Thanks for relating NIVO, good times, man, good times!
