If you don't have a 1.6 xbox, why not spend the 20 and get the xapt3r solderless solution?

I got some pointers from the guys at xbox-scene.com and I got a soldering iron with a smaller tip and everything worked GREAT! After I cleaned off the old solder and used the new iron, it went VERY smooth. I now have a modded xbox with an X3 and a 160gig hard drive. Thanks.

Were the pointers in a thread?  If so, could ya point me to it as I should be getting my Xenium Ice in a couple days...  :D
If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

There is the question I asked. I think the main things are a small soldering iron tip and make sure it is a 15W. Also remember that you can put the tip on the motherboard for a few seconds to get the pin and base heated. That is what I was afraid of. I didn't want to get the tip too close and the solder wouldn't flow to the pin and base. Good luck.
