mame has distorted my house buying preferences!!!

i live in an apartment now, but within the next 5 months i will be looking for a  house, and maybe buying one sooner than that....of course depending on how soon i find one but...

when looking at pictures of houses, the first thing i look for is a nice bonus room to stick my showcase cab and if theres any other room for say a foosball table or maybe a cocktail cab, etc.  i was looking at pics of houses last night with my wife and she was like "oh look how cute this one is with the nice deck!", and i would say "yeah thats nice, but does it have a bonus room big enough for my showcase cab?".  in which i get the look of doom, and say "yeah the deck is very nice."

You can't do that. It's like if she ever asks you "Does this make me look fat" You better say "no, dear".

If she wants a house that doesn't have  the room you want, then make fun of the bathrooms or the kitchen.

that is an accurate assessment my friend.  i got married in june!  so all i can plead is ignorance.  but you are right, what was i thinking? 

but she is really cool with my arcade cabinet.  heck, she even let me put the massive thing in our spare bedroom!!!  she's awesome, and she has many times talked about a "game room"...yes that is a quote.

Actually, I can give my wife the honest answer on that... she's lost 80+ lb and still has about 20 to go to get to her goal.  She's always asking me if she's down enough to look good in certain clothes, and often the answer is just not yet.  Her usual term is "how sausagey is this dress".
