Finally started to build
« on: December 01, 2004, 08:52:14 pm »
I finally bit the bullet and started hacking away at MDF tonight.
A straight forward LuSid / Project Arcade box. I thought a simple and proven design is best for my first attempt.
Nothing special compared to the stuff some of you folks are building, but I gotta believe it's going to be pretty impressive to friends and family.

I spent about an hour and fifteen minutes so far and have both sides cut out. Looks perfect, no snags yet. Tomorrow night I finish the cuts and start assembling. It's going far easier than I thought it would.
I guess that's the advantage of being the computer geek in a family of professional cabinet makers. Lots of workshop space, tools, and expertise on hand whenever I need it.

I'll document the build as it goes along and probably create the obligatory crappy website with way too many pictures of stuff that only our little community cares about.
