19k4900 question
« on: November 30, 2004, 06:24:33 am »
Can a chassis from a standard res K4900 be modified to work with a Medium Res K4915 tube? I have a K4915 here that someone has 'repaired' and they managed to set the flyback on fire from the looks of things. They've also done some modifications to to the neckboard that I'm not sure the purpose of. If it is possible to easily modify the standard res chassis to work I'll do that and put an 8-liners chassis on my standard res tube.

Yes you should be able to. Simply look at the manuals & schematics for both models and note the differences in parts values. Then change the neccessary parts.
