Gamelauncher question.
« on: September 27, 2002, 02:55:15 pm »
Hi!

I've got another question for you.

When I try to launch Visual Pinball from GL i just get a black screen and have to press ctrl+alt+del to force GL to quit. The strange thing is when I turn the debugger on it runs like a charm.

Is there a way to fix this problem? If not, is there a way to activate the debugger just with Visual Pinball?

Most likely visual pinball is running, but in the background. There's a problem with Game Launcher giving up the screen to certain programs (mainly windows ones, for me) I believe Dave knows about this.

I decided to let Visual Pinball be for now and transfered all my stuff to my arcadecomputer.
This is where the real trouble started. Now mame is the only emulator that's working. Zsnes and Vnes works in debugger mode, if i turn the debugger of the computer freezes and I have to turn the power of.

I run Win 2000 pro on my "real" computer and Win 98 se on the arcade.

Someone else must have had this problem too.

use my wrappers... they force focus to the app you launched with them so these issues will go away. :)  I've been told that the command line and visual pinball wrappers work very well with gamelauncher.

I've got your wrappers and they work great HC, the problem is that Visual Pinball, Snes and Nes works i debuggermode but not without. I don't know if GL looses focus or something.

Added "start /w" in the configfiles and it's working now  ;D.
Visual Pinball is still not working, all i see is the electronic scoreboard, the tables is black.
