Monitor with broken tube on the back?
« on: November 19, 2004, 09:23:39 pm »
Just wondering if a monitor is worth repairing if the little tube thingy on the back is broken.  I think it's the tube that the electron gun is in?

Nope. Monitor tubes with broken necks are pretty much scrap. You might be able to get some dough for the monitor chassis. What model of monitor is it?

You need to buy a new picture tube to repair this damage.

Best bet is to ebay all the parts like monitor circuit boards, metal mounting frame, yoke, degaussing coils, etc.

You have a Wells-Gardner 19k4900 series monitor.
