UV Reactive Conversion???
« on: November 14, 2004, 04:00:05 pm »
I've been searching for a few hours on how to convert a digital pic into a UV reactive pic.

Example...I want to convert a Marquee into being UV reactive and use a blacklight instead of regular florecent light. I have paint shop pro, E-mule plus and minimal artistic know-how. I think what I want is to somehow 'color-correct' using a florecent color patlette (or whatever that word is). I would like all the shading to be there though. I wouldn't want all colors to instantly be hard-core hot-pink or lime-green. I just want to push the natural colors to the florecent ones where if you look at the picture it will still look somewhat natural.

Is that possible?

A blacklight won't make Florecent colors glow like your wanting, a UV reactive print is printed using special inks that will react to the blacklight. Not sure how hard they are to come by thouh

Willyum, the way it's done correctly is you have to do "color seperations" and then tell the print shop exactly which color ink to use for each seperation......
NO MORE!!
