Computer monitor flipped, turns purple (loss of picture)
« on: November 13, 2004, 07:58:40 pm »
For kicks, for the first time, I loaded up a vertical raster game, well, vertical, and laid my monitor on it's side for all of 5 seconds, and the image started to fade, and turn a hue of purple, so I of course flipped it back right away. It's not like it broke my heart or anything, but why would it do this? And why do computer monitors turn a hue of purple when I put a can of lysol (not on purpose) up to them?

The computers magnetic field was messed up, you should be able to turn it on its side and go through its OSD to find a degauss option. If you can't find that, turn it off, turn it on its side, and turn it on. That should fix it :)
