Mamewah - configuration woes
« on: November 11, 2004, 01:32:31 am »
I have my friend's pc out of his mame cabinet because he asked me to update everything on it.

Independent of everything already installed on it, I have made new directories for my upgraded installs, in anticipation of just deleting all the old stuff. The new Mamewah has no problem with MAME, however when I try to make it use MESS for Vectrex (I'll tackle other things later) I won't list anything, even though the rom listing method is set to rom_directory.

I assumed "rom_directory" would just generate a list of filenames to choose from, and since I've set the rom path for MESS correctly, (on both the tg16 and vectrex ini's) I have no clue why it would not show anything.

I'm wigging out on all this frontend stuff at the moment, so any help is greatly appreciated, as various searches didn't turn up anything.

Well I finally got it working. I don't recall what it was, but it was something I was just overlooking, clearly.

Now I am having a problem with project64 loading, saying there is a problem attempting to open the file, then crashing, starting again, and about 50% of the time, it loads the rom then.

Hm.
