MAMEWAH Question
« on: November 10, 2004, 11:05:04 am »
So my PC went to crap and I had to reformat and load XP last night.  I also loaded up my MAME and the version of MAMEWAH, not a current version.

Everything works fine, except that the snapshots are not being displayed on the main screen for MAMEWAH (game select screen).

I have all the pics saved in a folder titled SNAP and the folder is residing in my C:MAME file folder along with everything else.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance, you guys always rock the hizouse!

Can you post your mame.ini file, or emu-x.ini file?

-Steve

P.S. Unless it is just a typo, you probably need a backslash '\' between C: and MAME.

I'm not sure what a Mame.ini file is?

Uh, okay. That might be the root of the problem :)

Is there any reason you haven't just installed the new version of MAMEWAH? I'd say step one of fixing your problem is to be up to date with the latest version, then after you install it read ALL the documentation in the docs/ directory.

People will be more likely to help you once you upgrade.

YEa,
I don't really want to upgrade unless I absolutley have to.
I'm not very good about configuring things and what not.
I like the older version just fine as it suits my needs ok, but maybe I'll have to upgrade.
?

Alright, so if you're using the old version you're using an emu-1.ini file.

Go read the docs, specifically in reference to the artwork paths. After you've read the documentation if you still have this question, post your emu-1.ini file here and I'll see if I can help you.

You need to install MAMEWAH.  Otherwise required system files don't get installed (say if you just copy MW from another machine).  PNG's won't display without one such system file...

Thanks MinWAH!
I downloaded Directx9,the System Files, and the latest version of Mamewah.
Started it up, and it worked like a charm!

THANKS SO MUCH!
