ArcadeVGA and 50" projection monitor
« on: November 08, 2004, 01:11:38 pm »

I'm about to snag an ArcadeVGA and want to be sure I will be able to connect it properly when it arrives.  It accepts the same 5 coax connector types that you would get on a larger CRT monitor.  I'm assuming they're R, G, B, Hsync, and Vsync.

The question:

Would I be able to use a standard cable for one of those monitors, or do I need to get Ultimarc's VGA breakout cable and put some coaxial connectors on the ends?

It's a 50" virtua fighter 2 cab... the monitor, from what I'm told, is autosensing 15/25khz.

That's pretty much the cable I'm asking about... I already have two of those since I have two monitors that require them...

That's almost the same monitor I have!  Gotta love Sega......

Good price on the cable.  I paid $15 for mine locally (they are $45 at Fry's!)

Same cabinet, anyway.  Yours has to have those motion sensor things around the bezel, though, in order for it to have been a VC game... light guns don't work straight with projection monitors.

One of these days I'm gonna get around to that project.  Too many other things have distracted my from MAMEing the VC monitor.

Exactly the same here... do you have the rest of the game, or just the monitor?

I just bought mine for the hell of it, THINKING  I would get to it before now.  3 cabs later and it's still sitting out in the garage.  That's why I'm selling it.

Hah, I've picked up 4 cabs since then.  Where are you located?
