Mad Dog McCree
« on: November 08, 2004, 12:03:09 pm »
Can someone suggest the best way of getting this running on my MAME cab under MAMEWAH? I'd like to use it with a USB light gun.

Looks like Daphne doesn't support it? Is that right?

What version would I need to run nicely with a light gun?

Thanks

for the mamewah part, read the doc in the doc directory, then do a search on this fourm for specific questions, such as how to set up daphne under mamewah. It's been asked a lot.
No idea about light guns...

None AFAIK (arcade version at least).  There is a Philips CDi & MegaCD (SegaCD) version - the MegaCD version might work under Gens or whatever, but the graphics are pretty crap compared to the arcade/CDi version.  There is also a PC port, which is likely pretty bad too...

No emulator that I know of supports American Laser Games games.

The rights seem to belong to Digital Liesure now. They've done a DVD edition that's quite good, but I have no clue on gun support.

There was a CD-ROM PC package that included a light gun, and Drug Wars and Mad Dog II. Worked pretty well, and decent video quality IIRC. But it's way out of production. Good luck finding it.

Might try evilBay? A quick look up reveals a couple pages of items... some pretty cheap!

maddog and a few others you just run the md.exe ( for maddog )  , no emu or anything , just need to hit F once the game starts in order to get it full screen , by default it runs with light gun or mouse/tracball .

as far as a FE is concerned each one is it's own emu ( or you can place all those types of games in their own sub dir and run 1 bat file that launches each one depending on the command line )

i could create a quick zip file with the sub dirs ( not the acctual games , just the dir structure ) and all the bat files including a dat file for almost all the digital leisure games ( excluding daphne )  just pm me if you need em
