I get my copy tomorrow, but I have a charity auction I have to attend, so I have to wait ANOTHER DAY to play. I'll probably take wednesday off to play it.

from what im reading in the reviews ,its just more of the same.. a few additions, but basically a shorter single player game and a weak storyline with basically the exact gameplay elements.they are banking on the xbox live end of it to carry the game..
this was the same problems with GTA:San Andreas for me..
no real innovation.
basically its just another expansion pack for a great game at full price..

Well it's really not shorter.  It's actually quite a bit longer than the first (I played on Heroic as I did the first and it took me longer, 20 something hours).  But I am the kind of person that likes to kill everything.  It is also more fun than the first because of the additions of weapons, vehicles and much more varied environmets.  The new multiplayer maps are very well done.  And it is fun to play Beaver Creek and Coagulation.

Edit: Who plays a game on easy or normal anyway?  That takes all the fun out of it!

The single player is nearly twice as long as the one in Halo. Halo's single player campaign was 8-10 hours. Halo 2's is 10-15 hours of gameplay.

Who cares about innovation in game game. Why try and fix something that isn't broken? The only things Halo needed to make it a perfect FPS were vehicles that can be destroyed, duel wielding and Xbox Live. Halo 2 has them all.

If you want to play an innovative game, go play Eternal Darkness on GameCube or Katamari Damancy on the PS2.

The only thing I wish thay had added was a jumpjet pack to Master Chief. I really like using that in Star Wars: Battlefront.

And I'm sure listening to the entire dialog (not to mention classic one liners) in French didn't take away from the single player experience one bit.   ::)

It's killing me - I know that Halo2 is sitting in my mailbox at home right now, and I've still got a couple hours of work left... oh well, guess I'll just read more reviews to pass the time...  ::)
