The Namco cabinet - Australia
« on: November 08, 2004, 04:46:01 am »
HI everone.

Been hanging around the forums for a while now getting some good ideas for my unit.

Bought this Namco unit about a month ago and I have some major plans for it.. It basically is in 100's of pieces right now. Going to ygive it New contols (buttons and joysticks) a new CPO. Also thinking about a full re-spray. Going to order a WG9200 towards the end of the project.

At the moment I have gutted the whole thing and giving it one major clean. ( it was very dirty when I got it) The red plastic areas on the unit came up ok - but I think I would like to give it a new spray (maybe blue) depending on the cost. Biggest problem so far is coming up with the CPO idea/desgin.

going to replace the coin door from $1 to 20c this week and putting new locks in (thank you my mate the locksmith)

finding it hard to find parts in Australia - and if you can find what you want usally only one place has it - so you pay big $$$
(EG Wg9200 is AUS$ 899 - and it's the only brand I can get here)

Would like to find out if anyone else has one of these units!
