Political threads

I love a good political debate, I really do. People with opposing views coming together like civilized human beings to engage one another, and if not coming to an agreement then at least agreeing to disagree peacefully is one of the best things about our country.

Unfortunately, some of the postings and posters lately wouldn't know how to civilly debate one another if someone posted the information on a 2 by 4 and hit them upside the head with it.

I mean, some of the posters should be frigging ashamed of themselves. Both sides of the fence. Were the rules of the forums really that hard to comprehend and respect?

I was waiting until Monday but some of today's postings were over the top. Wholesale slaughter of political threads has begun.

Apologies to those of you who were involved civilly in some really interesting dialogue who are losing their threads.

A limited number of political threads are still welcome in the Everything Else forum as long as they follow the rules of civility (is that a word?) but expect heavy moderation for some time in this forum.

Please drop politically inflamatory sigs as well.
