I'm one of the two (at this point) to vote yes.
I believe a few posts that would have otherwise been noticed and answered were overlooked in the sea of political posts.
I DO enjoy talking politics, but if the political posts were separated, others may have been here more often.
I believe political things will come up here and there, and with the election as crucial (in both parties' eyes) as it was viewed to be, I think that's why it was such a hot topic.
I belong to another forum that is almost exclusively politcal, but obviously it's skewed and I'd never hear anything like shmokes, MrC, et al bring to the table, so I miss out on hearing any opposition voices and perhaps a (slim, admittedly

) chance to sway my opinion. I've learned much from them, including that they aren't all three eyed two headed monsters, but just people who hold as steadfastly to their views as I do, and DO bring up things that make me see a situation in a different light than I'd normally get.
All that being said, after the weekend, if the threads are gone, not to be seen until the next election, I WILL live. I don't visit all the forums, and I bet there's an awful lot like me in that respect. If there's a politcal forum, it's one that some will, and some won't visit. What I'd really hate to have happen is for your costs to go up due to a political forum, as it would take away from site's "raison d'etre"
