Kerry Wins with 77% of the vote
« on: November 01, 2004, 09:31:49 am »
The winner is John Kerry (Democrat), with 77.1% of votes

www.globalvote2004.org

John Kerry storms to victory in virtual vote

LONDON (Reuters) - The virtual vote is in -- Democratic challenger John Kerry has won a landslide victory over President George W. Bush in a global sample of the world's opinion on the race for the White House.

More than 113,000 people from 119 countries made their choice at www.globalvote2004.org, handing Kerry a crushing win with 77 percent of the vote, a spokesman for the website said on Monday.

Third party candidates, including independent Ralph Nader, took nearly 14 percent of the vote, while Bush garnered a mere nine percent.

The results, a non-official tally of the world's view of the closely-fought presidential race, were released a day before Americans go to the polls in the real vote.

Polls in the United States reveal a dead heat between Bush and Kerry, but surfers who had their say at Globalvote leaned strongly towards the challenger:

"Iraq was one of the few countries where Bush actually won and the Middle East voted 37 percent for Bush compared to a world average of 9.1 percent," a spokesman for the website said.

"We're not trying to tell Americans how to vote, we're just giving them feedback from the rest of the world. The outcome of the real vote affects non-US citizens enormously in the post-9/11 age," he added.

Globalvote is a non-partisan, London-based website and not sponsored by any political party, its creators said.

Good thing the rest of the world doesn't get a vote.

Bush is an unpopular president. It's not a world popularity contest.

You've gotta love the fact that Bush was beaten by 'Other'

I think it shows the slant of the voters who did participate in this.

I think this just goes to show how GW has alienated the US from the rest of the world from during his term.

Even Tony Blair privately backs Kerry: (link)

Iran, however, continues to back Bush. Next up, Kim Jong Il campaigns with him in Florida.

it is crap and anyone with half a brain would recognize it.

nothing in the world is black and white.

for example:

we're with you as long as you obey geneva conventions and don't torture/humiliate your prisoners.

Bush & Blair must have loved 9/11 it gave them legitamacy to rush through laws that eroded everybodies personal rights in name of "national security".

I just saw a nice quote about this:

Quote
In a country where the poor and old cannot afford health care -the economy is falling apart and 3.3 million have been laid off - where 44 million people live on less than $12,000 dollars a year and 5 million people are homeless - where the entire media system is owned by only 6 media mega conglomerates - a country with the highest global crime rate and the world's largest prison population - where 60% of marriages end in divorce, 25% of kids under 12 live in poverty, many thousands can barely read or write and the gulf between the rich and poor is growing everyday - a nation that supports dictatorships in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Columbia and Turkey - a country where the president is the unelected puppet son of an oil baron who cut 25 billion dollars out of veterans benefits to help pay for a new 'war' - a country with the world's highest teen suicide and stress rates - a society that embraces violence, censors nudity, silences dissenters and promotes hatred, racism and bigotry - a country where the population has a serious weight problem, where anyone can easily buy a gun and where parents put their kids on prozac - a country where the government monitors the library books you read, may enter your home at any time without a search warrant and has convinced the population to live in fear armed with duct tape...the Bush government is telling us our
biggest problem is TERRORISM?"

Osama Bin Ladin Supports Kerry too.

I'd say, given that Bush has let him run free for three years...allowing him to get all rested and tan, while he sets up an entire television production studio...that he'd be fairly Pro-"W"?

But what do I know...I'm just one of those that think it's better to have Osama dead, not hamming it up on the T.V. screen.

I'm guessing Osama couldn't have done it all himself, and Michael Moore is mysteriously absent from the limelight....odd, since his fat ass should be pretty hard to miss....perhaps Moore was filming his new movie "Osama Goes To Camp"

Got a mail from the aforementioned 'fat ass' Moore this morning. He has been on the road getting out the vote for 51 straight days. A true patriot who wants his country back.

Go Michael!!

The hashed crusad...sorry, war on terror has been the biggest rallying call for new recruits for al-quaida ever. The only reason OBL is still making TV apearances in because Bush  took the focus off tora bora too fight an unrelated vendetta.

I'd say OBL is deffo hoping for a Bush victory, hes the greatest PR guy for Al Quaida ever.

But of course they would.  In your mind they can't seem to get anything right, but they sure as heck can be blamed for everything from nuclear war to hangnails or whatever else you want to pin on someone to take the focus away from the real problem.

And why would Osama want Kerry.

Bush is the best puppet Osama could have ever dreamed for.  Doesn't think about his actions.  Is easily provoked into doing whatever you want.... And last... HE IGNORES THE TERRORISTS.

Al Qaeda was known (by OUR government) to have bases in 60 countries around the world at the point of the 911.  Iraq was one of the only countries NOT ON THE LIST.

Sure... Saddam was a bad guy... but Rumsfeld (sp??) had more ties (really) to Saddam then Osama did.

Also... Having a Pres that lies to his people sucks.  He took us to war on known lies to provoke the masses.   He went in planning for the best and not considering the worse (and firing anyone who disagreed with him)...

His domestic policies suck.  He spends like the Liberals of the 70s but says hes a fiscal responsible polititan.

He gives tax breaks at a time of war.... And through all the research done... this has NEVER BEEN DONE BY ANY COUNTRY EVER.

He give tax breaks to companies outsourcing our good jobs... The question is how is this good for the country.

He gives the coal and oil industry passes on polution... why is this good for our country.

Because of Bush... we are now the most hated country in the world.  For people who used to like to travel this sucks.

He hasn't done (and please, prove me wrong on this... give examples) a single thing for the country that didn't make a personal friend of his rich.  Really... give a single example (can't go with no-child-left-behind because of his dads friend who sells educational reading books... that are required for schools to get federal funding (ok, there are two books they can go for... but still 1/2 of the schools in the country)

Bush is arguably the worse President we have ever had... For security, for war plans, for demestic policies, for education, for the enviornment...  Am I missing anything??)

Vote Bush!

Give the rich people tax breaks! They deserve them more than we do!
Send your sons to their death in Iraq for no real reason! Pay twice what you should
for prescription drugs!  Give up your 1st amendment rights! Give illegal immigrants
your jobs, bush says you didn't want them anyways!  Ensure your kids will get no
education!

Why would you not vote for Bush?

Drew, I see your 'liberal' dog is doing his bit for the Kerry campaign by spraying home made fertiliser on the Kerry/Edwards sign. Presumably he's hoping it will grow into a great big Kerry/Edwards sign tree just in time for Kerry to run for his second term in 2008!

I see your knowledge of fertilizers is sorely lacking.  Being full of fertilizer (crap ;D ) knowledge, I'll help you out.  If the dog were taking a DUMP on that sign, your premise would be correct.  As he is urinating on it, he is working to kill the grass and all that grows out of it - thereby killing off Kerry Edwards, whoever she is.

Ya know, if I gotta explain YOUR jokes to you, it makes it harder for me to be funny.....I'll press on, fighting the good fight.   :P

Well as it happens liberal dogs are so intelligent and virtuous that they urinate eau de cologne. And it's been scientifically proven that Kerry signs thrive on that stuff.

I can even provide links if you need them!

Now THAT I'd like to see!

Also, you failed to notice that it's a Conservative dog.  You can tell because it's got balls  ;)  ;D

Liberal dogs also have balls, but unlike conservative dogs they don't think with them. 8)
