D9200 problem
« on: October 31, 2004, 01:51:34 am »
Hi all,

I was hoping this wouldn't happen...but...after using my new D9200 for only about 12 hrs I've just noticed (while playing Asteroids) that there was a  2" section along the right side of the screen which was gray instead of black (game images still appear in this section but obviously the colour is way off). I fired up the Nokia test utility and also noticed that the screen geometry along the right side is now also off. The bar is only noticable when the screen is black but I'm thinking this might be a symptom of a larger issue.

Has anyone experienced a similar problem?

Here's hoping there's an easy fix...

Hi again,

OK...perhaps I can shed some light on this problem...I noticed that when I decreased the 'Bright' setting on my D9200 the grey bar eventually disappeared. My 'Bright' is now set at 60; I'm wondering if a few folks could post there D9200 Bright settings for comparison purposes.

Thanks.

I have mine set at 70.  It sits behind dark plexi. I probably had it lower prior to adding the tinted plexi.

Thanks PhoneGuy,

I was wondering that exact thing. The screen looks fine with the bright set at 60 (even up to @ 80-90is ok) but I was wondering if that would be too dark once I put the tinted plexi on.

I'll call Wells-Gardner next week and ask them about the problem to see what they say...for interest sake I'll try and post a pic of the screen problem late this week.

Cheers.
