solved
« on: October 30, 2004, 01:54:10 am »
i hope andy sees this soon.  i just got my kortek 27" monitor, and i got everything all loaded up, but now that i've come to installing things, like the arcade vga drivers, i get this warning that says:

severe
this display driver is not compatible with the diaplay adapter installed on your system.

what do i do?  i looked through posts, but i only found one other instance of someone reporting this, and they said their arcadevga card was toast...i just got my card, and it shows picture on my kortek just fine.  WHAT DO I DO!!! please, someone help me soon because i can't stand being so close, yet so far away.

That error has nothing to do with your monitor. Display drivers are the things on the CD....the drivers, and the display adapter is the arcadevga card itself. Again, nothing to do with your monitor.

Some possible problems:

1) Wrong drivers.
2) Incompatible drivers.
3) Incorrect drivers.

haha, sorry, don't mean to be silly. Obviously it's working if you get a picture on the monitor, you just need to install the drivers for the card. I've read people say that they went to ultimarc's site and downloaded the drivers from there. Worth a shot.

for one, on the site for driver downloads, it says to use the cd because the drivers on the page haven't been updated, and the other, i don't have my cab machine on the net.  also, the drivers are right for the card because andy sent them...and no one else seems to have this problem.  thanks for the help though.
