I guess what I was getting at was that I can't figure out how to have a button that does a "control-r". I can map a key to a button...but how can you map 2 keys (control + r) to a button?
I don't know of a keyboard encoder that lets you do macros like that (since it's two key presses it's a "macro"), but it doesn't have to be Control-R. That was just an example.
Basically you want it something other than a key you would normally type in. Which would most likely limit you to a control, alt or shift sequence. And also means that you need to have either control, alt, or shift mapped as one of your buttons.
The last diagram on
this page shows how you can wire up two inputs on any keyboard encoder to fire at the same time with only one button, but I have never seen a real life example of this working for what you're trying to do. Give it a shot and let us know if it works

Like I said, I just got finished loading up a bunch of PC games on my cab and you really need the keyboard for a lot of them. Having a keyboard actually part of the cab is probably the most elegant solution, but short of that this kind of workaround will probably "just do".
