A sideart of mine. (my first attempt)
« on: October 27, 2004, 02:04:20 am »
What happened to my other edit? Oh well. Here is an updated pic with some flame effects. Good, no good?

EDIT: Here is the pic without the scan lines.

Just thought I would post a pic of one of my side arts. I had snake do all the artwork for my cab. The shot of ken he made for my sideart was cool, but the more I thought about it, the more I wanted an action shot. So I decided to make one for myself. Im pretty darn happy with it too. It compliments snaaakes subzero sideart(wich is very kickass) very well. What do ya think?

That looks like the art from the new Anniversary controllers.  Where did you get a hi-res version like that? Nice. 8)

Am I the only one who's seeing darkened horizontal lines through the image?

It's a nice pic, provided your original file is high enough resolution to print out large enough for side art.

I didn't notice til you pointed it out.  :o Perhaps not as high res as I may have thought.  Maybe he shrunk it down to fit it here.  I know my images have a tendency to look crap when I shrink them at work vs. at home in PS.

I did shrink it down :P. Full size is 22X18". Those dark lines are scanlines, but since its been shrunk down. They merged together. Full size, all the scanlines are normal. Also, I cant remember where I got it. It was a looooong google search. I had just about given up on finding a pic I liked, and I came across this one. ;D

I thought about using this picture but its really small :-\
If you MUST use it..I suggest you use some kind of filter so it doesnt look jaggy/pixed when you print it out.Either scanlines or like the one I attached.I can send the the source file if you are not too familer with adding custom filters or whatever.PM or email 8)

Looking at the marquees from your other post, this doesn't go with them AT ALL...  What does the sideart that matches the marquee look like?

Yeah I realized that my marquee needed SF characters also. Since my CPO has MK characters on the left, and SF on the right. So Ken goes on the right side of the cab, and this pic of subzero goes on the left. Snaaake made this one, wich looks sweet! So Im adding SF characters to the right side of the marquee atm, to match the rest of the cab. Hey snake, I kept the scanlines you used on the original pics, and added it to the new one. So no worries there. Also, that pic of ken I found wasnt that small. Here it is if anyone wants it.
