Thought I should mention this to those collectors out there. I received a notice from my isp today regarding copyrighted material being made available from my address. The offending was received from BitTorrent  and regarded 2 specific roms for Mame (even though the download included more than the 2)

None of the 3 total things mentioned were completed. I am thinking I should probably go about this apologizing and saying it will not happen again, and taking appropriate measures.

Any advice and or comments are welcome.

Ok, that being said, I had something similar happen to me about a year ago...I'd been "helping" people out with "stuff" for several years on IRC, and received such a letter from my ISP as well... I just stopped "helping" people with that "material" and ignored the letter...Nothing more ever came of it.


just wondering if the "material" you were nabbed for happened to be a 'N*mco* title? That's who complained about me

yes it was in fact... namely since they and a few of the major console companies are affiliated with the ESA.. My isp is adelphia.
