3D Arcade Help please..

Well Im going through the bare bones area of the tutorial. I'm doing everything as it says to, and I get a script error every time!

The problem is that when I change the fearcadelist.cfg from:
all|2.0000|1.0000|    

To:
favorites|2.0000|1.0000|    

I get the script error.

Also when I just run it without all the editing exept for telling it where mame is at, I press 1 when I am in front of the game I want to play, and nothing happens.

What am I doing wrong???

Here is my .\config\emulators\femame.cfg file...see if you have the same dir pattern....most things should start with the same path...

also, make sure the version of mame you are poitning to is set up correctly...

shortnamepath||--some, mostly dos based, emus can't lauch games with long file names. for those set this path to the location you keep the games. for all others keep this empty. The fe will search this path for the filename and then it will use the shortname to launch it. Keep this also to false when you don't have the complete filename with extension in the gamelist!

runstopsound|true|--when set to true the background sound will stop while you run a game. I like to keep the backgroundsound running while I play mame games...use the win32 not the dos version...it gives the feel of being in an arcade while playing :-)

For mame just like mrarcade mentioned. if mame.exe dkong launches your game correctly from the commandline then it should work. if is does vnot launch from the commandline you have not set your rom path in mame.ini. You can then add it to your mame.ini or point gamepath|| from femame.cfg to your mame rompath.

About the srcipt error probably somewhere some typo...email me or if they are not to long post them your cfg\lists\favorites.atf and cfg\selsets\fearcade.cfg

from your femame.cfg:
this is the commandline the fe will generate for dkong when no other commandline options are set:
c:\roms\mame\mame.exe dkong
is that the path your mame.exe is in? else change emupath to the path were the mame exe is located...


the script error with the tutorial setup
looks ok..strange..I copied your stuff above in a fresh intall and it runs ok...
be sure to set cfg\fewhichselset contains: arcade so the fe nows you are using the cfg\selsets\fearcade.cfg selectionset. Also be sure that you have not wiped out the entry for this set in feselectionsets.cfg that contains a list of all the selectionsets known to the fe...
