Everyone continues to ask about the attachment size, and everyone's jazzed about a jump to 250 Mb.
I had hotmail, and it SUCKED! It took forever to load, tons of messages to others got filtered out because it was a Hotmail address, and I had to help them figure out their filters to allow my messages, it had a crappy size limit, they continually worked AGAINST a customer's wants (such as filtering junk, but you'd have to delete it, and it counted against your total space) and all the friggen SPAM from the Hotmail staff ("Just a friendly reminder that you're reaching your account limits...upgrade to this service that won't give you much more, and you'll have to pay, otherwise, screw getting any more mail")
GET A FRIGGEN GMAIL ADDRESS! 10 Mb attachments. 1000 Mb account (or a Gig, but I'm putting it in the "WOW, 250 Megs, neato" lingo) no spam yet from the Gmail people except to tell me how they are IMPROVING their service to SERVE ME BETTER, no filtering in friend's inbox that I know of yet, and it's free.
Are you using Firefox? There's an extension for it to check your Gmail account, just like all the POP3 checkers for hotmail.
Anyone have an account with Hotmail before they changed to .net accounts? About the same difficulty in learning/adjusting to Gmail.
For all of you bitter about losing valued e-mail, did Hotmail offer you alternatives? I bet they involved paying them money. Of all the things Microsoft makes money on, they chose to screw you over just to make a few bucks more a year. It's the reason I started looking for alternatives, and the reason I welcome Gmail.
