Yeah, I know. Here's an example of his usage:
"We gots ta get goin on this job, the client's really hot to trot!"
I think he means that the job has got to get done immediately and I should log off that BYOAC message board thingy and get to work before they take their business elsewhere.
I can't look him in the face anymore when he says it.

  Okay, I looked up "hot to trot" on dictionary.com, and definition 1 is "Sexually avid; lascivious".  It kind of puts a new spin on "JoyMonkey", doesn't it?  Is that your "professional" name?

hehe, well i guess it depends more on who's saying it and to who - when my girlfriend calls one of her girl friends 'dude', it just makes me wanna shake her like a brittish nanny, and it just sounds really weird when one of my bosses calls anyone 'dude'...
