HI,
I have a 50Inch Rear projection monitor, and i want to plug it up to my computers graphics card. I have checked the spec of the monitor , and it is 50/60hz . My graphics card gives out a 60 to 110hz. I have also got a Striped VGA cable, and a striped RGB cable, if i solder the ends of these two cables to the same colours , i am presumiung it will work. The colours on the VGA cable are RED BLUE BLACK WHITE AND GREY ( and a adtional yellow? ) i am also presuming that the GREY cable is the Green cable because on this vga cable there is three chunky cables ( Red/Blue/Grey ) and just the standard sized other wires. My question is........Will it work if i solder these ends on! .

and will it blow my monitor up if it goes wrong?

, by the way, please note that this monitor is a 50/60hz not a bog stardard arcade monitor of 15hz, and the graphics card is a Nvida Riva TNT2 pro 32mb card. not only that by i also have a program that changes the output HZ from the graphics card to the monitor!. please reply soon!!!
