ArcadeVGA Jpac problems, please help!
« on: September 29, 2004, 03:59:54 pm »
Hey everyone, heres whats goin on
I just got a mame cabinet with an Awesome 29" Monitor. Everything was working awesome and then some dumb kid kicked the Arcade VGA card out of the motherboard! I quickly replaced it and restarted the PC, but now the Start up screen and inital windows screen come up Great, but when Windows would actually start, the "Sync OK" Led on the Jpac turns off and I get garbage on the screen. I have jumpers on 15 and 31 Khz, and have tried just the 15. but get the same result. The Video still shows great on my PC though, SO Im at a loss right now, all I can figure Is maybe a new VGA card? I tried an ATI card and got picture through windows, but split screen and rolling. ANy help at all would be awesome Thank for the help guys!, Shaun

This is more a 'why not' than a solution, just in case it saves you the cost of a new card. Try uninstalling the drivers, switch off the PC. Take out the AVGA, then replace it, just to ensure it is seated properly. While you're at it, check your AGP slot just visually to see if theres any damage. If not, replace the card, re-install the drivers, and see if you get a screen.

Nothing to lose!

Hey I think you would be right, but heres the problem; I got this from someone else who had it all set up and He didnt give me the Driver CD. I cant find the drivers on the net either! Any idea where I could finsd them without having to pay for a whole new card? Maybe if you have them, you could send it to me?
