emuloader W/ catlist

I have installed the latest and greatest emuloader, but im at a loss as to how to integrate catlist into it.

the instructions for catlist state to unzip one file only from its compressed folder and place it in the emuloader root.
then refresh the games list or restart emuloader.
however when i refresh or restart i have no more columns or information then when i did before i began..the category column is empty..
and why only one file? and which one should i be using to get a properly categorized listing of my roms?

confused..   any help would greatly appreciated
