At least it was an all non-victorian grand final.  I couldn't really care who won.  Too bad there wasn't more fights it was looking pretty exciting for the first quarter.  But luckily there was plenty of beer for me to drink during the game.

what sacriledge!!! they are talking AFL. australian football league- probably the best football in the world!! and i say that not even being a die-hard fan!!

none of this stopping every 5 seconds and yelling 'hut, hut, hut' like gridiron, or playing a whole game without a score like soccer, or breaking necks like rugby (although i don't mind soccer and rugby, they are just not as dynamic as AFL).

I have to agree.  I saw a few games when I was in Australia and its a great sport to watch!  Fast action, great hits and non-stop action.  I watch in whenever Fox Sports World has a game on TV.

I even saw the Antzac Game in the ICG...  Great game!

It's the ANZAC Day Game (as in Australia New Zealand Army Corps) which was Sunday 25th April.  There were a couple of games held on that day this year but you probably saw Essendon vs Collingwood which is supposed to be the blockbuster game of the round and a traditional match for the two teams.
