to each his own
I wasn't disagreeing with you - I have no opinion. But you should assume that I have no desire to look these things up in Google so perhaps a little embellishment is helpful.
Secondly, I'm beginning to think you didn't even read the post I wrote. I never once used the word 'devil' nor did I challenge your beliefs. I also never assumed you were trying to convert me.
Anyway, though I may be wasting my virtual breath, I was stating how misrepresentation is relative with unworldly figures - whether they are real or imagined. I was also curious to see how you became a satanist. No offense but with controversial religions it's often a case of rebellion or a desire for uniqueness rather than a strong belief.
Here's a snippet from a website for the curious:
To almost religious Satanists, Satan is a force of nature, not a living quasi-deity. Their Satan has nothing to do with Hell, demons, pitchforks, sadistic torture, buying people's souls, demonic possession, performing miracles, human sacrifices, cannibalism, and profoundly evil deeds. Anyway, whatever. I'm just really bored. For a humorous flick dealing with (unrelated to Floyd's post) someone who fancies himself the Dark Prince, try to rent a copy of Highway 61.
