I bought a DC today to play Shenmue two but I can't get it to work...I have a PS2 which works fine but on the DC the picture won't show up.
I have the tv aerial in the tv out bit and the dc aerial in the tv, I have tried switching between to two 'I and G' modes that are on the black aerial but nothing happens, it just won't work.
Any ideas pls??
Thnx

Where do you live (what country)? If you bought the UK version of Shenmue2, then you will not be able to play it on a 60hz tv.

Hi,
I am in England but I have a 50hz TV, it's not just Shenmue 2 that doesn't work, it's all of them, I don't understand it tho cause my PS2 works fine.

Did you purchase a PAL compatible Dreamcast? Maybe you bought a US one by mistake?

Well if you also tried it with a scart lead and you still get no picture, then it sounds like you have a broken dreamcast on your hands.
I don't know much else I can help on troubleshooting broken dreamcasts, but some other questions might be, when you turn it on does the fan come on and the light go on? Does a disc spin when you put disc in it? IF you could borrow a dreamcast VGA adapter, you could also test it on a computer monitor.
If I were you I'd just return it, and get another, they are cheap enough.

Yep, everything works, light comes on, disc goes round, fan works, I wanna check out few more things before I return it, Ill try it on friends TV too, but I bought it from Ebay 'as new' and was apparently tested befoe it got sent.
